Linvilla Orchards is seeking a Full time Maintenance Technician who is a hardworking motivated individual that can assist in a variety of maintenance jobs around the property. This person will assist in the overall facility maintenance, general maintenance, and grounds maintenance.  The position is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electric, HVAC, refrigeration, install and remove pumps and other general maintenance.

Hidden Hollow Head Swim Coach is responsible for conducting and managing coaching for the Hidden Hollow Swim Team during the Summer Season. S(he) will manage the coaching and support Assistant Swim Coach(es). Ensure quality coaching and stroke technique. S(he) will also be responsible for supporting the Parent Rep Committee and their efforts.

About Hidden Hollow Swim Team

  • Team of approx. 150 kids
  • Competes in Suburban league
  • Coaching team will consist of - Head Coach and 3 assistant coaches
  •  In season practice Mon - Friday 1-3:30 pm

Hidden Hollow Assistant Swim Coach is responsible for assisting with conducting coaching for the Hidden Hollow Swim Team during the Summer Season.  S(he) will assist with coaching and support other swim Coach(es).  Ensure quality coaching and stroke technique.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in running practice workouts that includes technique training, drills, racing skill, and aerobic training for all age groups
      • Assist and prepare for Swim Meets
      • Partnering with other coaches and create team lineups for meets;
      • Attending practice and meets
  • Partner and communicate with parents and parent committee
      • Parent Representative Check-in 
  • Attend Meetings
          •    Weekly Coaches Meeting
          •    Bi-weekly Parent’s Meetings
          •    Weekly Parent’s Committee Representative Meeting
          •    Swim League Meetings
  •  Support Parent Committee Initiatives
    • Assist with   Plan for End of Year party (awards, gifts, and food)
    • manage and Share administrative responsibilities

Practice/ Meet schedule

Early season indoor Springton Lake pool

  • Tue- Fri after Memorial day and the following week Mon – Fri
      • 4:30-5:30 pm
  • Outdoor after school practice At Hidden Hollow
      • Until school gets out for summer
      • 4:30-6:00 pm
  • Full Season practice thru approx. July 31st
      • 9:00-11:30
  • Meets
      • dates and times determined by Suburban league
      • Most meets are Wednesday evenings 6:00

Competencies and Qualifications

  • ·         3+ years coaching experience of multiple age groups and ability levels
  • ·         Experience supervising staff and developing swim training curriculums
  •           Meet Manager experience preferred
  • ·         CPR, AED, & First Aide Certification
  • ·         All 3 PA Clearance requirements

Tips for Applicants

We always accept applications and occasionally hire employees in the spring and summer. However, we hire the majority of our employees for the busy fall season. We usually schedule open interviews for the fall season near the beginning of September.

We will review your application and contact you only if we have a position for you or if we would like to schedule a follow up interview. We keep all applications on file and review them as positions become available. If we don’t contact you right away, it does not mean we might not contact you in the future.

If you file an application during the year and don't hear back from us, we recommend that you re-apply in the beginning of September. We do not accept phone calls -we will call you if we have a position available for you.

Every Linvilla Employee begins as a seasonal employee, how long the season lasts depends on the department and position for which you are hired. When business allows in the spring and summer we first review recent employees for re-hire before hiring new employees.

We appreciate when parents bring their children to apply for a position with us. However, we ask that parents allow their children speak for themselves, request the application themselves, and conduct the interview (if applicable) on their own. Allowing them to do so gives us a much better chance to get to know the applicant, which in turn gives them a better chance of obtaining a position with Linvilla Orchards.
