What to know

August is National Peach and we are celebrating in true Linvilla fashion.  On Saturday August 4, 2018, we will be having our annual Peach Festival-our favorite festival.  Why, you ask?  The sun is out, the days are longer, the fruit is sweeter and there are smiles on everyone's faces! The day will be jammed packed with Pick Your Own Peaches & other fresh fruits and vegetables, Hayrides, Pony Rides, Face Painting, Train Rides, Fishing, Music, Games and so much more!

We are working with our favorite party planners, Adam Monaco from All Entertainment, LLC, and family.  Being a member of Linvilla’s entertainment force for several years now, Adam is no stranger to a Linvilla stage.  He and his team have raised the bar to a whole new level of festival fun.  We are honored to have Michael Stephens, from Philly Bloco, performing in our Entertainment Garden at 1pm. He is an amazing percussionist who will first perform and then turn it over to the crowd!  He believes everyone has rhythm and will give us the tools and guidance to explore it!  All ages can participate and find their inner percussionist. We will dance, sing and play all day!

Our friend Officer Offbeat is doing another breath-taking stage performance where he will juggle fire, walk a tightrope and perform crazy stunts that will make your jaws drop.

Sustainable Ritchie, from Bear Creek Orchards, is back with another interactive activity to demonstrate the importance of protecting our environment and what we can do to make it better!  His hands-on performance will be in our Entertainment Garden to the right of the stage.  Being a retired teacher, he loves when people stop by and hang out for a bit, or just to say hello!

Roasty Toasty will be roasting Linvilla's Own corn from 11am to 4pm.

Summertime Sampling with Judi: 11am - 2pm
Linvilla’s Own Judi loves to cook for her family and, lucky for us, she also enjoys sharing her recipes and expertise with everyone she meets. Judi will be hanging out in front of our Farm Market preparing some of her favorite Summertime specialties. She will give pointers to anyone who stops by on how to use all of your freshly picked fruits and veggies!

Story Time with Cindy Madara, author of Ruby's Peaches: 12pm - 2pm
We have added a very special treat for you.  We have invited Cindy Madara, a local author of children's books, to do a special Story Time.  Cindy will be reading her beloved book, Ruby's Peaches. Ruby's Peaches is  tells the story of a young girl named Ruby living on a farm with her grandfather Poppy, transitioning through the seasons of harvesting peaches while she learns to read.  “I wanted to tell the story of what it was like around here back then,” Madara said of the area in the 1970s and 80s. “The story tells what it was like in a simpler time.”  She will have copies of her book for sale.

11:45am - Handyman Rob
2pm - Little Yellow One-Eyed Dude
