Let’s paint a pretty picture for the passionate gardener and we will call it March! The passionate gardener can-not wait to get their hands in the dirt or get started on their outdoor projects.

The passionate gardener loves to feel the warmth of the March sun that lasts a little longer each day. They know that even under the bits of snow and frost there are daffodil leaves popping up through the earth. They love to plan our gardens full of color, texture and fragrances to delight their senses.

The passionate gardener knows March is a great time to plant indoor seeds to get you started on your tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and other warm-season veggies. They follow the folklore traditions that St. Patrick’s Day is the time for planting peas and potatoes. They also know that March is a great time for planting Rhubarb, asparagus, and onion sets.

The passionate gardener can get started fertilizing lawns, shrubs and trees and begins their pruning.

You don’t need to be a passionate gardener to love the feel of Spring coming on. But we can help you dabble in the love of March gardening. Visit us this month in the Garden Center and we will help you get started.
