Months before spring arrives, our team prepares for the upcoming seasons by pruning trees, planning crops, and looking ahead to the days when the farm is full of blossoms, fresh fruit, and families making memories together.

This year, that season took an unexpected turn on April 20th

Just a few weeks ago, a sudden freeze swept through our area at one of the most critical times in the growing season. Our trees were in bloom, full of potential for peaches, apples, and so many of the crops we look forward to sharing with you each year.

Overnight, that potential changed.

We lost nearly all of our peach, cherry, apricot, and apple crops, we had carefully planned for this season. Like many farms in our community, we are devastated. Farming has always come with uncertainty, but that doesn’t make moments like this any easier. These aren’t just crops; they represent months of work, care, and anticipation for the season ahead.

But if there’s one thing farming teaches you, it’s resilience.

While this season may not look the way we originally imagined, we’re already beginning to pivot and refocus our efforts.

This year, you’ll see more flowers growing across the farm. We’re expanding our flower production to bring color, beauty, and new experiences to our fields. While we may not have the fruit harvest we had hoped for, we’re working to create a season that still feels special.

We’re also working with trusted farm partners further south who were not affected by the freeze to bring in fresh peaches, cherries, and other seasonal fruits for our Farm Market. While they may not be grown in our own orchards this year, we remain committed to offering high-quality, fresh produce and supporting fellow farmers whenever possible.
