Thanksgiving

Sixty Seconds with Judi

Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. It’s not about gifts or spending money. It’s about family, friends and food all coming together in perfect harmony.

In my little house, we cram in thirty-five loud and hungry people. It is not a magazine cover or a Hallmark card by any means. Instead it consists of tables and chairs placed in every open space. There is a buffet table that wraps its-self around my dining room. We boast of 2 large turkeys, a ham, grand mom’s macaroni and cheese, Aunt Nonnie’s prosciutto wrapped asparagus and my mother’s stuffing, now made with love by my sister. I can’t even mention all the sides that are included like steamy mashed potatoes covered in the best gravy ever and my sister Carolyn’s home-made rolls spread with fresh butter. The dessert table deserves a room of its own. Covered with pies in every flavor imaginable with toppings of caramel apples and cans of whipped cream. Nothing is left out on this wonderful holiday.

After dinner, we sit around catching up with each other and sharing the stories of our lives. We are blessed. This Communion of Love is so very special to us all.  So, from Our family to yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are grateful to have you in our lives.

Saturdays & Sundays 9am to 5pm & Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm

Linvilla Orchards has over 40,000 Christmas trees planted on the farm. Take your whole family on a hayride to the Christmas tree fields to select your tree. The majority are 6′ to 10′ Douglas Fir. We also have some Canaan Fir. We provide a saw for you to cut the tree. Then we haul your tree back, shake the loose needles, wrap it up and even tie it to your car! We can also drill a hole in your tree for “Stand Straight” Christmas Tree Stands.  Last wagon departs at 4pm
