Eat Your Vegetables!

Sixty Seconds with Judi

Here we are at the end of January and I have to wonder – How many of you have already given up on your resolutions? They say that is takes at least 21 days to make a change in your routine to stick. 21 days, now that doesn’t seem that long. Well, that is until perhaps your motivation starts to wane.

So this year I say let us keep going with something small, yet rewarding. Something that is easy to incorporate in your everyday routine and is all around you, inexpensive and even mom approved. I say Eat Your Vegetables!

We all know that vegetables are good for you. They provide you with vitamins, minerals and fiber. Vegetables like kale, brussels, peas, and spinach, to name a few, will provide you with a good punch of protein. Vegetables will brighten your skin, strengthen your bones and improve your eyesight! I mean they are the perfect cure for what ails you! So this year, let’s keep it simple and EAT MORE VEGETABLES!

Here at Linvilla Orchards, we will make it easy for you. All winter long, our vegetables are 50% off. No tricks nor gimmicks- just good healthy food at a good price. So grab some ingredients to make a pot of soup, whip up some parsnips or make a sweet potato casserole just because you can!

Also this week join us in the Garden Center for:

Linvilla Orchard’s Fore! The Planet is a highly interactive and playful museum exhibit created by the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia! This exhibition pairs important environmental issues with the fun of miniature golf.  18 unique educational holes explore butterfly metamorphosis, a tropical rainforest, evolution, dinosaur extinction, food chains, and more. Perfect for kids of all ages, your entire family will enjoy playing miniature golf while learning about our environment – every step of the way!  The course opens everyday at 9am and the last tickets will be sold around 4pm.

Cooking with Judi is on Saturday, January 27th at 10 am.  Miss Judi is doing something a little different to start off the new year.  She is showing off some of her ideas for breakfast and brunch that she knows you’ll love for those chilly winter mornings! Although this class is free, call (610) 876-7116 to register. We want to make sure we have enough for everyone to sample. Yum! *No Charge*
