Sixty Seconds with Judi

It is that time of year again when blueberry hill is alive with those sweet, plump morsels of deliciousness. Not only are they tasty, blueberries are highly nutritious as well. Did you know that blueberries are rich with antioxidants?

Blueberries are known to protect you from a variety of diseases and ailments. Those little blue power houses are high in fiber, potassium, folate and vitamins C and B6! They help to keep your brain healthy and your wrinkles at bay! They are low on the glycemic index too so they won’t interfere with insulin levels; all while satisfying your sweet tooth!

I am not sure if that was what Fats Domino was referring too when he sang his song “Blueberry Hill”, but I can tell you that I am thrilled to have Linvilla Orchard’s blueberries bursting on our hill.

Join us on our Blueberry Hill where the picking is fine! Or if Blueberries are not your favorite, check in daily at the Pick Your Own site at Linvilla.com and see what else is ready for the picking.

If you didn’t already, mark you calendar on Saturday July 7th for our annual Blueberry Festival and Pie Eating Contest.  Our festival is hosted by Adam Monaco from All Entertainment, LLC and Silly Joe with performances by Maggie Pope and Sustainable Ritchie!
