Peter Piper Picks the Perfect Pumpkin

Okay, I know Peter Piper picked a peck of peppers. However, if Peter Piper were here in the fall he would be picking out the perfect pumpkin! With so many varieties to choose from, I imagine Peter would have a difficult time choosing only one!

First, poor Peter would need to decide what he was using the pumpkin for.  For instance, if he were looking for a home for his wife like his cousin Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, he would choose a giant pumpkin such as Dills Atlantic Giant or Big Max. These are specifically grown for their world record size.  If Peter were looking for the perfect Jack O’ Lantern, he would choose one of many varieties like Big Tom or Happy Jack. Choosing any pumpkin that is anywhere from 8 to 25 lbs that can be easily carved and comes in the perfect shade of orange would do. Unless, of course, Peter prefers a white Jack O’ Lantern – we have a variety of beautiful white pumpkins as well. But if Peter were looking for the perfect pumpkin for eating, I would persuade him pick a Sugar Pumpkin. There are many other choices that are equally as good in a soup, stew or pie.  Perhaps something lumpy and bumpy like a Peanut Pumpkin. Or, you can step out of the box and choose a blue Hubbard, a Cheese pumpkin, or a Fairy Tale! Whatever Peter prefers to pick he can’t go wrong.

So like Peter, if you want to pick the perfect pumpkin come visit us in Pumpkinland.  We have what you’re looking for!
