Figs are a new addition to our orchard and are quickly becoming a favorite here on the farm! Figs are a sweet and nutritious fruit that have been cultivated for thousands of years. Figs are appreciated for their unique, chewy texture and subtly honeyed flavor. They can be enjoyed fresh or dried!
Attendees will join Farmer Norm on a tractor ride through the orchard. He will stop in the fig orchards and talk about growing and harvesting figs with an emphasis on how to grow them successfully in Pennsylvania!
Norm has been the Farm Manager at Linvilla for 25 years. He oversees over 200 acres of farmland and over 24 different crops. He and his team grow delicious local produce April – November and Christmas trees in December.
