Pick-Your-Own

8 am - 4 pm Daily

Apple Crop Update

We wanted to share a quick update regarding our pick-your-own options. Apple picking is currently not be available. As many of you know, a hard freeze in April damaged approximately 90% of our apple crop. It has been an especially challenging year for apple growers throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support of local farmers this season.

Weekend Pick-Your-Own

On Saturdays and Sundays we will have pre-picked apples from partner farms available for purchase to take home after enjoying a stroll through our beautiful orchard.

Weekday Pick-Your-Own

During the week, come pick your own mini pumpkins right from the vine!

What to Know

Pick-Your-Own offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, experience the thrill of picking your own produce, and create lasting memories with family and friends.

Crop Availability

Crop availability can vary throughout the day due to factors such as weather conditions, ripeness of fruit, visitor traffic, and crop abundance. For the most up-to-date information on what's ripe and ready for picking, check our website frequently as we update it regularly. During hotter summer days, we recommend aiming for earlier time slots for the best picking conditions. Want to know when a crop is available?  Under the Schedule tab, you can sign up for email alerts. Click the green envelope next to your desired crop, and we’ll notify you as soon as it’s ready!

Ticketing Information

Every individual over 11 months old who wishes to enter our Pick-Your-Own fields will need a ticket, which includes admission to the fields and a base-size container to fill with your chosen fruit. Additional containers can be purchased at our Pick-Your-Own shed upon check-in. Different crops require different container sizes, so when you check in, simply inform our friendly Pick-Your-Own staff of your preferred crop, and they'll assist you in getting started on your picking journey.

Timing and Restrictions

Tickets purchased for the 4 pm time slot are limited to picking one crop. If you wish to pick multiple crops or explore different areas with your group, please ensure you purchase tickets before 3:30 pm. It's important to note that transitioning to different crops after 4 pm is not permitted.

Ticket Prices

Online: $11
Walk-Up limited availability: $13
Tickets are non-refundable, but in the event we need to cancel due to weather, you'll have the option to exchange your tickets for a different day to ensure you still get to enjoy your Pick-Your-Own experience.

Conditions

Excellent Picking Conditions

  • The fruit is abundant and easily found
  • It does not require much time to pick and fill a picking container
  • One does not have to go far or cover much distance or area in the field to fill a picking container
  • There is more excellent quality fruit
  • It is the height of the season or one of the peaks of the season

Good Picking Conditions

  • The fruit is abundant but not as plentiful or as easily found as when conditions are excellent
  • It takes a little longer to pick the same amount of fruit as compared to excellent conditions
  • You may have to cover more area to fill your container as compared to excellent conditions
  • The quality of the fruit is still very good
  • The season may be on the way up or down or we may be in between the peak of a variety of a crop

Fair Picking Conditions

  • There is not a lot of fruit and the crop might be considered “light”
  • It takes longer to pick and fill your container
  • You will have to work harder and cover bigger area to fill your container
  • The quality can be excellent and there will be pockets of great fruit but it will take more effort
  • The picking can be “fair” when the season is just beginning or when it is ending
  • Often the fruit can be sweeter and the best tasting of the season, but not as pretty, this is especially true towards the end of a crop’s season

Picking Tips and Guidelines

  • Dress comfortably and seasonally appropriate. Sneakers are recommended.
  • Be sure to pack a hat and wear sunscreen if you're picking on a hot summer day.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Before you start picking with your children, explain to them how to identify ripe fruit. If you need any help we have knowledgeable staff on hand! You can ask at the PYO Shed or any of the hayride drivers.
  • Only pick ripe fruit that you want to take home with you.
  • Once fruit is picked it cannot continue to grow, ripen or be selected by anyone else.
  • After a rainy night our fields may be wet, but we do plant grass or put straw down between all our rows of fruit. We work hard to keep these grass areas mowed to make your picking experience enjoyable.
  • Follow all signs and instructions by staff.
  • No sampling or eating of fruit is permitted in the fields.

Cut-Your Own Trees

Experience the joy of cutting down your very own Christmas tree. No tickets required!

Your adventure begins with a scenic wagon ride to one of our Christmas tree fields. Most trees available are beautiful 5'–8' Douglas Firs, along with a limited selection of Canaan Firs.

We make the process simple from start to finish. We’ll provide a saw for cutting, and once your tree is down, our team takes it from there! We’ll haul it back, shake off loose needles, wrap it securely, and tie it to your car. We can also drill a hole in the base for easy setup at home.

Important Guidelines

Due to the location of the tree fields, walking is not permitted; transportation to and from the fields is required.
For everyone’s safety, only saws provided by Linvilla may be used. Power tools are not permitted.
