New in the Garden Center

The forecast is finally warming up and our Garden Center is packed with everything you need to make the most of your space outside this summer! Below you will find a small view of some of the plants we have right now. If you are looking for something specific that you don’t see here, stop in, or give us a call and our Garden Center staff will be happy to help you! 

Water Plants

Earlier this week, we received a wonderful new order of water plants! You can now find, Pond Orchids, Water Lettuce, Water Hyacinth, Money Flowers Mimulus ringens (native)Pickrel Rush Pontederia cordata, Blue Flag Iris Iris versicolor (native) Pitcher Plants (great for keeping the mosquitos at bay!) Spiral Rush Juncus effususSwamp Milkweed Asclepias incarnata, Lily of the Nile Ever Twilight Agapanthus hybrida, and many more. Water plants help keep your pond or water features looking natural and beautiful by keeping the water clean and clear.

Annuals and Perennials

We just got a large order of Perennials in, and we are expecting another one later in the week! We are thrilled to have a few Indian Pink Spigelia marilandica plants in our native section. While sometimes hard to find, Spigelia marilandica is a gorgeous addition to your garden.

Salvia, Veronicas, Or Catmint Nepita are all great options if you are looking for something deer resistant in your yard.

Herbs

The herb section is overflowing with unique herbs to add to your garden. We have multiple verities of Mint, Lavender, Basil, Thyme, Eucalyptus, and so much more.

Fruit and Vegetables

Strawberry hanging baskets are abundant in the yard. We still have a wonderful selection of vegetable plants including, Cucumbers, Peppers, Eggplants, Squash, Cabbage, Tomatoes, and more! There are still fruit trees and bushes as well!

In the Greenhouse

Looking for a hanging basket that will thrive in the shade? Streptocarpus is the plant for you! Streptocarpus has lovely purple flowers and will thrive in the shade making it the perfect pop of color for that section of your porch that doesn’t get a lot of light.

The orchid section of the greenhouse is stunning. We have many unique verities including a staff favorite: Jewel Orchids Ludisia discolor.

We have two tables full of Peperomia in the back of the green house with a variety of sizes and colors. Peperomia is a great easy to care for house plant. 

Lastly, we have an abundance of citrus trees! There is nothing like growing your own citrus through the summer. We have Myer lemon, Lemon, Grapefruit, Lime.
