Picking your own fruit is an age-old idea with a fresh new approach. We do the planting and growing. You do the picking. It is as close as you can come to having your own garden without the space, work and bother. Due to our size, we can offer more varieties of fruit than most backyard gardens.
We offer the opportunity to learn how different fruit crops are grown, when these fruits ripen and the difference in taste and appearance between varieties of each fruit. For instance, we grow 45 varieties of yellow and white peaches. Picking for each variety lasts about a week and peach season lasts from July through September. We grow 30 varieties of both eating and cooking apples. Apple picking starts in early August.
"Pick Your Own" is entertaining and fun. It is an outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The fresh air and sunshine are great for your health, the hayride to the fields and orchards is an adventure, and of course the fruit always tastes better when you've just picked it. We also offer helpful suggestions for new ways to prepare and preserve the fruit that you pick.
By following the harvest schedule you can treat your family to farm fresh fruit all season. You can come often and pick only what you will need for a few days or fill your freezer for the winter. Freshness and quality are yours for the picking at Linvilla Orchards.

Strawberries
In late May, our Pick-Your-Own season begins with strawberries. We have 6 varieties of strawberries planted. $1.99 per lb. if you pick over 20 lbs., $2.59 per lb. if you pick over 10 lbs., $2.99 per lb. if you pick under 10 lbs. or pick a quart for just $4.99.
Rhubarb
$1.39 per lb.
Summer Strawberries
Our Summer and Fall Variety is Seascape and can be picked from late-June through mid-October. $2.99 per lb.
Raspberries
Our 6 varieties of raspberries ripen during both an early summer and fall season. Early summer season is late June through mid-July. A second smaller crop is available mid-September through Early October. $3.99 per pound if you pick over 10 lbs. or $4.99 per pound if you pick under 10 lbs.
Blueberries
We grow seven varieties of blueberries. Many visitors enjoy picking raspberries and blueberries as their seasons coincide for 2 weeks. $2.99 per lb.
Peaches and Nectarines
We grow 45 varieties of peaches. Our new earliest variety "Rich May" is a must try. The varieties are both yellow and white, freestone and cling. Included in our 20 acres of peaches are white and yeallow nectarines which are also available for Pick-Your-Own. $1.49 per lb.

Blackberries
Our thornless blackberries are very large and are one of our easiest berries to pick. $3.99 per pound if you pick over 10 lbs. or $4.99 per pound if you pick under 10 lbs.
Summer Apples
Our summer apples ripen in early-mid August along with peaches. Among our 6 varieties we have both eating and cooking apples. $1.49 per lb.
Grapes
Linvilla grows three varieties of seeded cooking and eating grapes. $1.49 per lb.
Pears
Bartlett, Bosch, Seckel and Vermont Beauties are the four varieties offered for Pick-Your-Own. $1.49 per lb.
Fall Apples
Linvilla has 25 varieties of apples on 20 acres of orchards. The fall Pick-Your-Own apple season lasts through early November. Look for our newest late season varieties: Gold Rush and Pink Lady. $1.49 per lb.
Tomatoes, Peppers, Summer Squash and Eggplant
Tomatoes, peppers and eggplant are available from late July through October, so you can pick a few during most of you visits to pick your own. $1.49 per lb.
Sweet Corn
Sweet corn is available in our Farm Market, fresh picked every day by our staff from early July to mid-September. We offer pick your own sweet corn every summer for ONE DAY ONLY, during our Sweet Corn and Blackberry Festival! Mark your calendar for this special one day experience. .50 cents per ear.
PICK YOUR OWN TIPS…
- Be sure to pack a hat and wear sunscreen if you're picking on a hot summer day.
- You'll definitely work up an appetite picking delicious fruits and vegetables.
Pack a picnic or stop by Linvilla Orchards Farm Market for a bite to eat.
- Before you start picking with your children, explain to them how to identify ripe fruit.
- Pick within flagged zones which mark the areas that are optimum for harvest.
- The fields and orchards at Linvilla are large so make sure you arrange a meet up place in case anyone gets lost.
- Bring a camera to capture all of the fun moments with your kids.
